16-0

How to Play

Assemble a team of college football legends and find out if they could go a perfect 16-0 — and win the National Championship.

  1. 1

    🎰Spin the slot machine

Each round, press SPIN to roll a random team and era (e.g. "Alabama, 2015–2020"). Modern eras span ~5 years; legend eras span a dynasty. You'll see every player from that team in that window.

  2. 2

    📋Draft 12 positions

Pick one player from the spun team & era and place them in any open slot they're eligible for. FLEX spots accept RB/WR/TE, D-FLEX accepts any defender, and versatile players (like an edge/linebacker or a two-way star) can fill more than one slot. Drag players between slots to rearrange your roster anytime.

  3. 3

    ♻️Use re-rolls wisely

Don't like what you spun? You get one team re-roll (jump to a different team) and one era re-roll (a different era for the same team) for the entire game — use them wisely. A team + era never repeats in a run.

  4. 4

    🏆Simulate your season

Once all your spots are filled, your team plays a full 16-game season (12 regular + conference title + 3 playoff). Land a perfect 16-0 to win the National Championship — then share your roster and grade with friends.

📊 How scoring works

Ratings are era-relative — every player is judged against their own era's peers, so a 2005 star and a 2020 star stand shoulder to shoulder. (The rating itself is always hidden — infer it from the stats, the year, and your football knowledge.)

Your record is the position-weighted strength of all 12 starters. Premium positions count for more, so a star there is worth chasing:

QB 1.5×DL 1.2×CB 1.2×everyone else 1.0×

Balance is everything: a single weak spot drags your average down, and only a near-flawless roster runs the table.

🧮 What counts toward each rating

Each rating weighs the impact plays most — touchdowns, sacks, interceptions — then grades every player against their own era's peers. Here's the gist of what each spot rewards:

QBPassing production and efficiency, plus rushing. Turnovers hurt.
RBTotal yards and touchdowns on the ground and through the air, plus workload.
WR / TEReceiving production and touchdowns, plus the occasional rushing or return score.
DLGetting to the quarterback — sacks, hits, tackles for loss — and takeaways.
LBTackling, pass rush, and coverage takeaways.
CB / SCoverage and takeaways (interceptions and break-ups), plus tackling.

Hidden ratings are era-relative; pre-clean-box-score legends are curated from dominance, honors, and championships rather than raw numbers.
